NukeX Intermediate

The Nuke Intermediate course is designed for those artist who have some knowledge of Nuke but want to increase their understanding of the software. A basic understanding of Nuke is expected to get the most out of this course.

Areas of Nuke being covered on the course include:

o Multi-pass CGI Compositing
o Colour Management in Nuke
o Colour Correction
o Keying using Primatte and Keylight
o Custom Edge Blur Effects
o Stabilization and Corner Pinning
o Effects and Filters
o CGI Utility Channels
o Introduction to Nuke’s 3D Environment
o Camera Tracking
o 3D Projection
o Pan and TIle
o Cleanup and Rig Removal Techniques
o 3D Roto

Nuke used by the biggest visual effects companies in the world including Industrial Light and Magic, Weta Digital, Sony Picture Imageworks and Digital Domain. In the UK most of the major visual effects house have now moved to Nuke including Framestore, MPC, Cinesite, BSkyB and BBC Wales. Nuke can be seen in many of this years blockbuster movies including Robin Hood, Repo Man, The A-Team and Harry Potter & the Deadly Hallows not to mention James Cameron’s Avatar.
