The aim of the course is to enable the participants to gain an overview of digital workflows employed within a range of digital media. Although the course is geared more towards the independent, freelance and corporate client, education and commercial sectors will also be catered for. The course will use seminars and workshops, and participants will produce a short piece of live action work in studio taken through postproduction.
Topics include pre-production planning, including use of pre-vis, planning for green screen and mocap, setting up live filming in studio, and setting up workflows for different platforms, including ingestion, compression formats for editing, handling and reconciling codecs, and delivery outputs.
By the end of the course you will be able to...........
- Plan for live action production that incorporates established VFX elements.
- Understand and apply complex digital workflows from pre-production to exhibition.
- Be familiar with digital workflows for different platforms and sectors – corporate, commercial, low budget film
