A thorough introduction to digital tapeless production and post-production workflow. Through a mix of lecture and hands-on practical sessions, the course delivers a good understanding of HD and the cameras and codecs that are used in different levels of production. An initial 5 day introduction in the Film School will be followed by an assessed project.
This course is suitable for intermediate to advanced freelancers and full-time production professionals. It is particularly suited to producers, directors, directors of photography and editors.
- Day 1: Setting The Scene. Introduction to HD Formats, Codecs and Cameras
- Day 2: Benefits and Pitfalls. Where tapeless production works and where to be careful; including a studio greenscreen session
- Day 3: Professional Broadcast with P2, Avid and FCP.
- Day 4: Other workflows, including practical demonstrations of High End and Web and Corporate
- Day 5: Summary and Project introduction
